The crew

There are hundreds of longtail boats in Krabi, and plenty of them now advertise “private” and “luxury.” Most are the same boat with cushions: no English-speaking guide, no standard for what gets delivered, and a day that runs on the captain’s timetable rather than yours.

Krabi Bliss runs one standard on every trip. Every crew member speaks English, is trained to the same service and safety standard, and takes the photographs — so the lagoon, the picnic and the sunset come home with you rather than staying on someone’s phone. They represent Krabi Bliss and Southern Thailand hospitality, and they’re proud of both; guests name them in nearly every review. The day is built around your group: your captain reads tide and wind to choose the order of stops, your guide sets the pace. The aim is simple — this is the highlight of your Krabi trip.

What guests say

Padmshree A.

I booked a luxury long-tail boat with Krabi Bliss for the Hong Island tour, and it was the highlight of my trip to Krabi… Having lunch in the lagoon at Hong Island was such a special experience.

Bridget V.

This was the most amazing longtail boat experience!! The company was very responsive and were flexible with the weather changes… hopefully you get lucky enough to have Fern as your guide!

Ian S.

A luxury style tour and they help to take photos, give you lunch and food, and are flexible about timing so that the tour feels custom to your taste… Worth the premium price if you can spare it.

Lidia H. O.

We were taken to the most stunning, magical, and exclusive islands, far away from the crowds… Our captain, Afan, also made the trip unique.

Good to know

Is Hong Island worth it compared to the 4 Islands? Hong is the sheltered-lagoon, karst-scenery trip; 4 Islands is the beaches-and-snorkelling trip. If you want the lagoon and fewer boats, Hong. If you want more sand time, 4 Islands.

What time should we go? Morning departures have calmer water and fewer boats in the lagoon. The afternoon half day (14:30 – 18:30) ends at golden hour on the water; the full day gives you the lagoon early and Pak Bia in the quiet afternoon.

Can children come? Yes — life jackets in all sizes, and the crew are used to toddlers. Under-3s are exempt from park fees; children over 3 are THB 250 each above the 4-guest base.

Staying outside Ao Nang? Klong Muang pickup is THB 800 round trip; Railay guests are collected and returned by boat at Railay for THB 1,000.

Is it suitable for pregnant guests? We don’t recommend the boat ride during pregnancy.

What should we bring? Sunscreen, swimwear, a light layer for the crossing, and towels — most hotels will lend beach towels if you ask. Everything else is on board.

Cancellation? Free cancellation up to 7 days before the trip; 20% charge from 7 to 3 days before; 50% within 3 days.

What if the weather is bad? If the marine authorities close the pier for safety, you get a full refund or a reschedule to the next available slot — your choice.

Can we bring our dog? We love pets, but the national park doesn’t allow animals on the islands, so they’d spend the day on the boat. Better to leave them with the hotel.

Meeting point

Free pickup and drop-off from any hotel within Ao Nang; we take you to the pier. If you’re making your own way, meet at the Nopparat Thara Welcome Signboard.
